Writer's picture: Rise UpRise Up

At Rise Up Central Kansas, we’re excited to share an important update about our Don’t Look Back Transport Services! We now offer dedicated support for youth, ensuring they have access to critical treatment, recovery meetings, and mental health appointments. This expansion aligns with our mission to remove barriers and provide young people with the resources they need on their journey to recovery and wellness.

Details for In-Patient Treatment Program Transportation

Advance Notice:

We request a 24-hour advance notice for transportation requests. However, all transport services depend on the availability of our peer navigators.

Acknowledgment Form:

For each in-patient treatment transport, participants must complete the Don’t Look Back Transport Services Acknowledgment Form. This form includes the following details:

  • A fixed transport date.

  • A clear explanation that return transport is available only upon successful completion of the treatment program. Unfortunately, we cannot provide pickup for individuals discharged unsuccessfully or those who choose to leave treatment early. In such cases, it will be the individual’s responsibility to arrange their own transportation.

Details for Recovery and Mental Health Meetings

We also provide transportation for youth to attend recovery or mental health meetings. These requests can be scheduled directly by phone:

Caretaker Permission:

For youth participants, a caretaker must complete a Transport Permission Survey before transportation can be confirmed. This ensures that the caretaker’s approval is in place for the youth to participate in our services.

How to Refer Youth

To refer a youth for transportation services:

  1. Complete the Don’t Look Back Transport Services Acknowledgment Form with all required details for in-patient treatment.

  2. Submit the form to Amy Ferguson at the contact information listed above.

  3. Ensure the caretaker completes the Transport Waiver Survey before transport is confirmed.

The Transport Waiver Survey can be accessed through the link below: Transport Waiver Survey

Our Commitment to Supporting Youth

By providing reliable transportation to treatment and recovery resources, we aim to empower young individuals to take control of their mental health and recovery journeys. If you have questions or need additional details, don’t hesitate to contact us. Together, we can make a lasting impact in the lives of youth in Central Kansas.
